Performance
You Can Depend On
For over 30 years, we’ve built a reputation for quality and speed. This is based on genuine expertise, exceptional materials and sophisticated manufacturing.
SERVICE AND SUPPORT

We are part of Vilno Group, with a committed team and an enduring focus on metal fabrication. As a customer, you’ll partner with a dedicated NCG account manager backed by the full resources of Vilno Group.
Most importantly, you’ll have access to technical experts. Whether you have questions about specifications or installation, we’re here to help. We’re also keen to work with you to deliver complicated customised orders.
QUALITY FABRICATION

We have the machines, process and people dedicated to the fabrication of every NCG cable stocking and hose restraint. This facility is housed within the state-of-the-art Vilno Group factories which are located in Sydney, Australia.
Safety is paramount and that’s why we only select the best materials for the job:
Galvanised Strand
NCG uniquely use 1×19 2070 galvanised strand. This stiff wire automatically shrinks, making the fitting procedure easier and more effective. In comparison to other wires in the same diameter, 1×19 has much higher tensile strength.
Stainless Steel
Our preferred stainless steel is 316 stainless steel. This delivers extra strength and corrosion resistance, which is crucial for heavy-duty commercial environments. That’s why we believe you should go for 316 stainless steel.
Heat Shrink
To protect the stockings and restraints, NCG covers the ‘legs’ in a thick layer of durable heat shrink protection. An adhesive lining between the heat shrink and the wire ensures that the protective layer does not move to expose the strand.
Thimble Eyes
The eyes of NCG stockings and restraints are protected against wear and tear by a formed steel thimble. This is an important physical feature, as the steel thimble works to reduce the risk of damage and extend the life of the product.
STRENGTH TESTING

The strength of cable stockings and hose restraints is based on the metallic area and wire grade. The published ratings are the result of straight line tensile strength deduction tests (UTS) or an indicative calculation of the sum strength of all the wires (ABS):
Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS)
The Ultimate Tensile Strength is a tested measure of the maximum load before failure. We provide UTS ratings for all products – this guarantees that the product design has been destruct tested on equipment with National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accreditation and calibration.
Aggregate Breaking Strength (ABS)
The Aggregate Breaking Strength refers to the theoretical strength, and is an indicative number only. It’s the sum of the minimum breaking strength of the combined wires that make up the product. This explains why the UTS for individual wires is considerably less than the ABS.
All NCG cable stocking and hose restraints are labelled with the manufacturer’s logo, specific size range, individual serial number and minimum breaking load. This information is stamped into the ferrule. We can also provide our NCG testing certificates upon request.
