Cable Stockings
A Cable stocking is a woven sock that slips over the cable to make an attachment point at the end, for hauling or load restraint. Once it slips on it shrinks around the cable, and the tighter you pull the eye, the tighter it grips the cable. They are also known as grips, pullers or socks.
NCG manufactures a wide range of cable stockings to suit many different applications. Use the options to the left to refine the product list, or browse the entire range below.
Hose Restraints |
|
A Hose Restraint is a safety device that prevents high pressure hoses from whipping, in the event that they disconnect accidentally due to coupling failure. They simply slip onto the hose so the woven helical design grips the hose, and the eyelets are then anchored to a fixed point. Hose Restraints save lives and are mandatory on most mine sites in Australia.NCG manufactures a wide range of Hose Restraints to suit many different working environments and applications. D4 grips are designed for hauling applications where the cable is hauled to a fixed position with one eye, and then attached to that position with the other eye.
They are also designed for underground mining environments where aluminium alloys are not permitted and where thimbles are needed to protect the eyes from wear and tear.
They are made from durable 2070 grade galvanised wire, and are swaged with copper ferrules.
They have a slimline design to reduce snagging, and all protruding wires are covered with heat shrink to protect the operators hands.
